Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the website and Google Docs add-on.

By accessing https://www.vocamark.com or using the Google Docs add-on (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Acceptance

These Terms form an agreement between you and Voice Notes for Google Docs™ – VocaMark. You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the Service.

Service Description

The Service provides tools to leave voice feedback on Google Docs. The current product is a Docs add-on that supports selecting text, recording voice notes, uploading recordings, and sharing listen links so collaborators can play feedback in a browser.

You can install the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace when available: Google Workspace Marketplace.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the Service
  • Interfere with other users’ access to the Service
  • Record or share content that you do not have the right to record or share
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or target individuals in unlawful or abusive ways
  • Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data

Voice Recordings and Content

You retain ownership of the voice recordings and related content you create. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, to store audio and serve listen links).

You are responsible for what you record and share, including ensuring you have any needed permissions from people whose voices or information appear in a recording.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • How you use and share listen links
  • Complying with applicable privacy, workplace, and confidentiality rules when recording feedback
  • Respecting Google’s terms and any policies that apply to your Docs and Workspace account
  • Keeping your devices, browser, and account access secure

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its branding, design, text, and software, is owned by Voice Notes for Google Docs™ – VocaMark or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials except as allowed by these Terms or with our prior written permission.

Third-Party Platforms

The Service interacts with Google Docs and other Google services that we do not control. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms and policies. Voice Notes for Google Docs™ – VocaMark is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, including changing free availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that recordings, playback, or listen links will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the add-on and ceasing use of the website. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
